An 18th century silver mounted mother-of-pearl tea caddy,
one foot marked with a lion passant, circa 1770,
rectangular form, the mother-of-pearl body carved with birds in trees and foliate scroll decoration, the corners with pierced scroll mounts, the drop handles with pierced back plates, the hinged cover with a bird finial, on four claw and ball feet, the interior velvet lined, and with two recesses for tea caddies, length 25.4cm, height 20cm.
