A French repousse iron and damascened lock plate

A French repousse iron and damascened lock plate, of a crowned female figure holding a staff and standing on a dragon, having gold line inlay including a fleur de lys, under a gothic arch supported by leaf and mask capitol columns, the right side with a key hole, probably 16th century, 5.5 x 2.25in (14 x 5.5cm). Minor wear and holes. Provenance: The Ernest Ohly collection.
