A 19th century Indian trophy ewer, by Hamilton and Co, Calcutta circa 1870, baluster form, part fluted decoration above lozenges on a matted background, domed cover with a flower finial and pierced thumb-piece, the front inscribed 'PURNEAH RACES 1874 PLANTER'S CUP, won by', on a circular foot, height 23.5cm, approx. weight 34oz.
