A Worcester printed bell-shaped mug c.1760-65
A Worcester printed bell-shaped mug c.1760-65, printed with The Whitton Anglers, two young ladies fishing in the Canal at Whitton, the reverse with La Diseuse d'Aventure after a Watteau painting of the same name, a young lady having her palm read by a beggar woman while her friends look on, a 3.5cm chip to the rim, 12cm high.
The print for the Whitton Anglers was taken from an engraving of A View of the Canal and of the Gothic Tower in the Garden of His Grace the Duke of Argyll at Whitton by William Wollett.
