A Derby plate c.1817, reputedly from the ducal service of the Duke of Argyll, painted with sprawling floral sprays reserved on a gilded claret ground, red crowned crossed batons mark, 25.1cm.
Paper label relating the plate to the Duke of Argyll service, dated 1968. A service of this pattern was at Inverary Castle, the seat of the Duke of Argyll.
