Edward Hildebrandt (German 1818-1869) Sunset on the Chow Praya River, Siam Watercolour over pencil 21 x 31cm; 8¼ x 12in Hildebrandt studied in Berlin and Paris before travelling to Brazil in 1843. Subsequently he travelled extensively in Europe and the Far East. Engraved: By R.
