A late George III mahogany clerk's desk, inlaid ebonised stringing, with a reeded three quarter gallery to a writing surface previously with leather, above two end frieze drawers, the right side fitted for inkwells and pens with a further five graduated drawers to each side of the main pedestal, with a twin panelled false front and on square tapering legs to extended socket feet, brass caps and castors, 29.75in (75.3cm) h, 38.75in (98.5cm) w, 27in (68.4cm) d.
