A George II Scottish mounted hardwood snuff mull, of upright baluster form with moulded borders and an oval plaque on the cover engraved with a crest, a Viscount's coronet, the motto "LAUS DEO" and the inscription "EX DONO Vicecomitis de Arbuthnott", unmarked c.1750, 2.5in (6.2cm).
