An early 19th century giltwood settee
An early 19th century giltwood settee, the padded back and sides, with lion head grips on scroll supports with paw terminals, the seat with a squab cushion on fluted tapering legs to later brass castors, 35in (89cm) h, 79in (200.6cm) w, 31in (78.6cm) d. The gilding is probably later over an ebonised ground.
