A massive Japanese bronze bowl or censer 18th century, of cylindrical form with a wide, flat rim bearing a long inscription, which translates as 'made in the tenth month of the eighteeth year of the Kyoho reign', which corresponds to 1733, the sides with curved, flat lug handles, 42.5cm.
