A Chinese pale celadon jade carving of two geese Qianlong 1736-95, one seated in front of the other with its head turned over its back, a large millet stalk held between them, raised on a reticulated hardwood stand carved as swirling waves, 9.5cm. (2)

Provenance: Lt Col John Grenville Fortescue (1896-1969), of Dropmore, Buckinghamshire and Boconnoc, Cornwall, and thence by descent.
