A MAMLUK-STYLE GILDED AND ENAMELLED GLASS MOSQUE LAMP
18TH / 19TH CENTURY


With a tapering neck decorated with blue calligraphy on gold ground and roundels containing verses from the Quran, the body with six loop handles and calligraphic verses in gold on blue ground and with geometric and floral bands in gold, blue, red, white and green, 33cm.


Provenance: an English private collection, New Forest.
