A 19th century continental tortoiseshell and agate mounted casket, the hinged top with an inset oval agate panel and four faceted glass cabochons, revealing a mirrored interior, the base inset an oval agate panel, the case with ebony and gilt bead mouldings and agate turned columns, with four agate panels and sixteen cabochons, on faceted glass ball feet, 8.75in (22cm) h, 12.25in (31cm) w, 9.5in (24cm) d. Some old damages and replacements.
