A marble Cinerarium

A marble Cinerarium, the moulded base carved petals and beads with a panelled front inscribed D.M., T. PVFI, ONESIMI, flanked by dolphins, the lift off pedimented top carved love birds and anthemion finial corners, one off and one missing, repairs to the top, 12in (30.5cm)h, 16in (40.5cm) w, 11in (28cm) d. A rectangular panel inscribed Givn to George Wilbraham Esqr, by Ias Byres as a memor,dum of the remark,ble Spot, on wh, they were the 3rd May 1766. Broken in five pieces.
