A George III red japanned tavern timepiece, the brass movement with recoil anchor escapement, five turned pillars and with tapered plates, the 25 1/4in repainted circular dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and brass hands, the case signed 'John Dwerryhouse Berkeley Sqre London', the door decorated with chinoiserie with figures before buildings, above a hinged door base decorated with birds, 148cm high.

John Dwerryhouse is recorded as working at 23 Charles Street, Berkeley Square from 1770-1805.
