A giltwood centre table in Régence style
A giltwood centre table in Régence style, the serpentine sarrancolin marble top with a moulded edge, above a pierced frieze decorated with a diaper ground and carved with leaves, on cabriole legs carved with a bearded man mask, with leaves and flowers and scroll feet, 19th century, 77.5cm high, 131cm wide, 80.8cm deep.
Provenance: The collection of the banker F. A. Konig (1867-1940) of Tyringham House, Buckinghamshire and thence by descent to the present owner. See below a photograph of the table in-situ in the Drawing Room of Tyringham House c. 1917.
