A mid 19th century Italian carved walnut writing desk on stand, in the manner of Luigi Frullini, the putti mounted raised back to a fall enclosing three drawers to a further sloping fall, decorated putti flanking a central shield to foliage revealing a shelf flanked by griffin supports the carved edge base above a frieze drawer to conforming apron, the turned and carved legs united by an oak stretcher with a central mask finial, 53.5in (136cm) h, 33.75in (86cm) w, 16in (40.5cm) d.
