An 18th century oak longcase, the 30 hour movement within a posted frame and striking on a bell, cast 'R Wells', to a 10in brass dial with chapter ring and shell spandrels, the centre engraved a figure fishing with houses in distance and foreground and inscribed Peter Bower, Redlench, 76in (193cm) h.
