A Maori carved wood canoe bailer, the hollowed scoop with a central ridge to a pierced and scroll decorated tiki figure, the handle similarly carved, 15.5in (39.5cm) l, 7.5in (19cm) w. The family believe this bailer was brought back from New Zealand at the end of the First World War.
