A late 19th century sapphire and diamond brooch

A late 19th century sapphire and diamond brooch, the large sapphire cabochon is set within diamond laurel borders in silver and gold. 3cm wide.

Accompanied by report number 5777-7922 dated 28th November 2016 from GCS, London stating that the cabochon-cut sapphire weighs approximately 34.60cts and measures approximately 19.20 x 13.40 x 12.50mm, and is a natural sapphire with no indications of heating. Origin: Sri Lanka.
