A dated North Devon slipware harvest jug, with sgraffito decoration of a songbird perched on a leafy branch between large upright flowers, coloured in cream slip on a treacle glaze, inscribed '1876' beneath the spout, the handle with a scroll terminal and incised with a simple leaf band, small rim chips, some losses to the cream slip, 31cm.
