An unusual assembled Meissen inkstand or desk set, comprising a pair of figures of pheasants with their chicks, a pair of figures of poulterers carrying cockerels, both pairs mid 18th century, a square-section candlestick painted with flowers and a pink ribbon garland bearing an inscription, a square inkwell and a square shaker painted with flowers, small landscape vignettes and inscriptions, marks for the Marcolini period, all mounted on a gilt metal base with bulrushes and small blue and white porcelain flowers, probably assembled in the 19th century, some faults, 40cm overall.
