A pair of decanters and stoppers, the necks with three faceted rings, the bodies encircled with the inscription 'Calder and Hebble Navigation', 2nd half 18th century, chips to the stoppers, 28.3cm. (4)
The Calder and Hebble Navigation was completed in 1770 and runs for 21 miles from Wakefield to Sowerby Bridge. It was one of the first navigable waterways into the Pennines.
