A Liverpool delftware puzzle jug c.1760-70, of traditional form with a tall reticulated neck issuing from a squat globular body, painted with a four line stanza inviting 'Here Gentleman come try your skill', the sides with sprays of flowers in blue, red and green, some damages and repairs to the neck and handle, 18.5cm.
