By Anthony Elson, a pair of commemorative silver-mounted glass claret jugs, London 1973, no.19/100, celebrating Bristol's Royal charter of 1373, tapering circular form, hob-nail cut glass bodies, the mounts with chased domed covers with ship and castle decoration and crown finials, the handles with a portrait of Edward III, with traces of gilding, inscribed 'Bristol 600 1373-1973', and with the Bristol town mark, height 32cm.
