A George III tubular oval grater with an engraved hinged cover, further hinged at the base to reveal the steel grater and compartment, the body initialled "BB" on one side and engraved with a coat of arms on the other, by james Phipps, London, c.1770 (maker's mark only, struck twice) 2.2in (5.5m).
