A James II tankard, with a large scroll handle, volute thumbpiece and an engraved coat of arms, by an unascribed maker ("RC" in a dotted circle) * London 1688 with a later added spout hallmarked London 1946, 7.5in (19cm) high, 32oz. * See Jacksons Revised pp 137 for an illustration of the maker's mark as seen on large covered porringers, Communion Flagons, etc 1681-1694.
