A rare and interesting tablefork

£1,500 - £2,000

A rare and interesting tablefork, stamped 'tiber' and struck with the makers mark and town marks of an unidentified Bristol maker ('SALMON', turret mark, sailing ship) 1780-1790, 2oz. *The form of this fork and the presence of the maker 'tiber' indicate a Continental, North European origin - perhaps just re-stamped and/or overstruck and retailed by Salmon of Bristol.
