the interior and exterior with five encirling ribs,
2cm diameter, 7 grams.

Found on farmland near Ripon, Yorkshire, July 1997.

The ring is composed of approximately 86 gold with smaller proportions of silver and copper. It has been suggested that these types of rings were used as a form of currency.
