A rare James II Irish silver two-handled porringer and cover,
by John Phillips, Dublin 1685-87,
circular bellied form, embossed foliate decoration, scroll handles with female heads, the cover with maker's mark twice, embossed foliate decoration and with a fluted finial, the front with a vacant oval cartouche, height 20cm, approx. weight 28.5oz.
