Furniture
With our quarterly sales, we are able to offer a good selection
of fine period furniture and works of art as well as catering for
the more decorative 'interior' pieces. We sell single items to
whole collections, from treen, tea caddies, truncheons and
corkscrews. The vast field of works of art covers a wide and
interesting area, recently selling a rare pair of mid
18th century Italian scagliola panels attributed to Don
Enrico Hugford for £32,000. A massive bronze group of a musketeer
on horseback by Isidore Jules Bonheur sold for £22,000
strengthening the demand for good bronzes. These sales also include
carpets and rugs, lighting, fireplace furniture and garden
statuary.
With the growing demand for Tribal Art, the department has
developed to become one of the only to host regular sales covering
this vast area. (Click for
