Paintings
Woolley & Wallis hold four quarterly auctions of oil
paintings, watercolours, prints, miniatures and sculpture, ranging
from the 16th to 21st Centuries. We sell studio collections
as well as single works of art, and offer free sale valuations at
our Castle Street salerooms.

Droit de Suite is a royalty payable to a qualifying
artist or the artist's heirs each time a work is resold during the
artist's lifetime or up to 70 years after the artist's death.
Lots potentially subject to the levy are marked ‡ and are
subject to a charge of 4% if they sell at or over the sterling
equivalent of €1,000. Above €50,000 the levy reduces on a
sliding scale, please refer to the department for further
details. We will add the levy to the purchaser's invoice and
we will pay the full amount to the relevant collecting agency.
