Salisbury Chairman Heads up Advisory Body
22 Jun, 2009
Paul Viney,
Chairman of Woolley and Wallis the
Salisbury
based fine art auctioneers, has been appointed Chairman of the
Society of Fine Art Auctioneers (SOFAA). The body was formed in
1973 to oversee auction practices and set out guidelines for good
service within the industry.
Mr Viney
has served on the committee for some years and is pleased to be
taking on this important role. "The Society is the advisory body
for our industry and our members constitute the vast majority of
Fine Art Auctioneers in the U.K.", he commented. "During my two
year tenure I hope we can raise our profile amongst the general
public whilst continuing to maintain the highest standards of
probity amongst all our members."
