A TIBETAN GILT COPPER FIGURE OF THE PROTECTOR BEGTSE CHEN

The deity shown standing, with a wrathful expression, his fiery hair standing up, he wears a tiger hide around his hips, adorned with elaborate jewellery, treading corpses of a human and a horse, the wood stand carved with a purifying flame halo behind the figure and with a rocky river to the base, 36cm.
