THREE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE BALUSTER VASES AND COVERS

MID 18TH CENTURY

Brightly enamelled with cartouches of mountainous landscapes between ornate vases with various blossoms, bands of lappets to the foot and stylised pairs of phoenix at the shoulder, the neck with prunus on a cracked-ice pink ground, the domed covers with lotus finials, 51cm. (6)

Provenance: an English private collection, purchased from H R Hancock and exhibited at The BADA Art Treasures Exhibition 1932 at Messrs. Christie, Manson & Wood, 12th October - 5th November, catalogue no.1053, pp.135-7.
