A LARGE AND RARE CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE 'HUNDRED ANTIQUES' ROULEAU VASE
KANGXI 1662-1722
The tall cylindrical body applied with moulded precious objects, blossoms and fruit, and painted in gilt and famille verte enamels, the neck encircled with two chilong amongst scrolling foliage and lingzhi, the base, shoulder and rim with bands of iron-red and gilt bands of stylised lotus flowerheads, together with a fitted wood box, 77cm. Provenance: Sir James Neville Bt. (1897-1982) of Sloley Old Hall, Norfolk and thence by descent.
