A George IV needlework sampler by Mary Jane Cowell, worked with alphabets and numbers, signed and dated '1827', in a later glazed frame, 27.6 x 22.8cm, together with a Victorian wool alphabet needlework sampler signed with initials 'MES', and dated 'May 1868', possibly Welsh, in a glazed, oak frame, 38.2 x 26.1cm.
