λ An early 19th century Italian Roman specimen marble and micromosaic Grand Tour table top, inlaid with radiating concentric panels of one hundred and twelve various marbles and hard stones including: porphyry, malachite, lapis lazuli, harlequin breccia and alabastro fiorito, the centre with a circular micromosaic panel depicting the Doves of Pliny, with a ribboned campan border, on a Regency rosewood and giltwood base in the manner of Gillows, with lobed and nulled decoration, on a triform base with leaf carved scroll feet and brass castors, the top: 88.2cm diameter, 4cm thick, 73.7cm high.
