A rare large Burmantofts Faience Anglo-Persian charger by Leonard King, painted to the well with Venus riding on frothy waves, a young child holding a bird watches on, the border decorated with scaly fish, jelly fish and scallop shells amidst waterweed, in shades of blue, turquoise, yellow and cream, impressed marks, painted LK monogram, painted shell mark and 87, minor glaze loss, 63cm. diam.
