A late Victorian ruby

A late Victorian ruby, diamond and pearl brooch, the centre oval-shaped ruby set within a surround of old circular-cut diamonds and further graduated diamonds to the scroll mount, suspending a drop-shaped natural pearl and with red stone above, set in silver and gold, 6.5cm high

Accompanied by report number 73575 dated 24 March 2014 from SSEF stating that the white drop-shaped pearl measure 9.20 x 12.35 x 15.00mm and is natural saltwater, and that the cushion-cut ruby weighs approximately 4.30cts and is a natural ruby with no indications of heat treatment, origin: Burma
