A late George III coloured stone riviere necklace

A late George III coloured stone riviere necklace, and detachable cruciform pendant. The cut down gold collets mounted with assorted stones including sapphires, emeralds and rubies. Each collet joined by a pair of links each set with a cushion shaped diamond. The necklace 37cm, the pendant 6.5cm high. Fitted case by S.J. Phillips, 139 New Bond St.

Accompanied by report number 5777-9092 dated 3rd March 2017 from GCS, London stating that the gemstones as numbered are:

1, 18, 23: Peridots.

2, 22: Rubies.

3, 8, 10, 12, 17, 21: Topazes.

4, 11: Aquamarines.

5, 13, 19, 24: Garnets.

6: Chrysoprase.

7, 20: Sapphires.

9, 15: Amethysts.

14, 16: Emeralds.

The gem stones numbered 1, 18, 20, 23 as listed above do not conform to the original engraved inscriptions to the back of the necklace.
