A Montelupo maiolica small armorial albarello or pill jar early 16th century, the ovoid form applied with two wide strap handles, inscribed in blue with 'Pill Cotie' on a scroll cartouche beneath the coat of arms for Luigi di Antonio Aldobrandini of Florence, amidst scrolling leaves in blue and ochre, the base of each handle inscribed 'Bo', cracked, 13cm high.
