A modern square inkwell with canted corners and a cast lifeboat, under sail on the cover, inscribed "Presented by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to H.E. Shave Esq in recognition of his valuable services as honorary secretary of the Poole & Bournemouth branch 1905-1922", the front with the applied enamel badge of the R.N.L.I, by the Grinsell, Brimingham 1921, 4.25in (10.7cm) square (glass-inset base).
