The Great Seal of England of Elizabeth I, designed by Nicholas Hillard, a wax impression c. 1586-1603, the Queen enthroned holding the Sceptre and Orb, crowned shields to either side, rev. On the reverse side, Elizabeth is shown on horseback riding left, across a field of flowering plants, beside her the Tudor Rose, Fleur-de-Lis and Irish Harp, ???mm A piece broken at the top (where originally attached to a document), otherwise in very good order.
