A Victorian Scottish baluster hot water jug, decorated with flowers, scrolls and a mask spout against a matt ground, with a square foliate finial and fluted thumbpiece, inscribed "Presented... to James Fairburn Esq... for his FAITHFUL SERVICES... as a trustee upon the Estate of THE LATE THOMAS BRYDON ESQ.... 1841", maker's mark AW, Edinburgh 1841, 8.75in (22.2cm) high, 32oz.
