large central trumpet vase with a circular dish, with two wire-work scroll arms, each supporting a circular dish, on a shaped circular base on four bun feet, inscribed ' Presented to Mr Edward Dorning on his retirement by the Chief Traffic Managers Staff as a token of their esteem and a memento of his 40 years connection with The Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company, October 31, 1908', height 67cm, length 57.8cm.
