A William IV oblong, presentation snuff box, with engine-turning and a wide, shaped border of raised floral motifs around the cover, inscribed "Presented to Mr John Anderson Provost of Airdrie by a few of his friends in consideration of the honour and integrity with which he has discharged his duty as a magistrate, 3rd September 1833", gilt interior, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1832, 3.5in (9cm) wide, 6oz.
