A Victorian large snuff box, with engine-turning, raised floral borders and a large vacant oblong cartouche on the cover, initialled "I.M", the gilt interior inscribed "Presented to the Members of Tower Hamlets General Pension Society to Mr John Mitchell as a token of respect for his valuable services as Honorary Secretary July 29th 1839", by Edward Edwards, London 1839, 3.65in (9.2cm) wide, 6.5oz.
