A Victorian engraved snuff box, of shaped oblong outline with concaved sides and gilt interior, the cover inscribed "Presented by Mrs P. Stuart of Liverpool to Capt. Charles Rycroft as a slight acknowledgement for his kindness to her dear departed son, Cromwell", by Edward Smith, Birmingham 1861, 2.8in (7.2cm) wide, 2.8oz.
