circular lobed and swirl fluted form, alternate panels of embossed foliate decoration, scroll side handles, on three ball feet, the border inscribed in Dutch 'DE BEVRACHTERS VON HET SCHIP DE DOLFIJN VEREHREN AN CAPITEIN ELIAS ANDREASEN DVTH SILVER GESCHIER HAMBORGH ADY 2O INVY, ANNO 1676', which loosely translates as 'THE SHIPPERS VON SHIP DOLPHIN VEREHREN AN Captain ELIAS Andreasen DVTH SILVER GESCHIER HAMBORGH ADY 2O Invy, ANNO 1676', length handle to handle 29.5cm, approx. weight 12.5oz.
